The persistence of this world weighs upon our shoulders.
And we have been shaped by time and duty to bear it.
We need to abolish western civilization.
For it alienates us from this once living world.
They call it progress, we call it slavery.
They call it society, we call it captivity.
They call it technology, we call it oppression.
They call it democracy, we call it (fucking) fascism.
Degradation and greed for ten thousand years
tore apart what was once a whole.
Domestication is what awaits us,
if we fail to break free from this culture of make believe
They call it progress, we call it slavery.
They call it society, we call it captivity.
They call it technology, we call it oppression.
They call it democracy, we call it (fucking) fascism.
Unity replaced with separation.
Equality replaced with disparity.
Community turned into isolation.
Freedom turned into incarceration.
We will set life free once again. The struggle continues.
For a free humanity, Mother Nature and anarchy.
We won't stay silent. We will rise up and fight.
In defense of all innocent life. For total liberation.
"We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth; there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world here, in our hearts. That world is growing in this minute.“ - Durruti
xElegyx only released six songs, four of which are included here, but these six songs are enough to put them in the leagues of all-time xvx greats. What an EP! What a band! grvce wuff
If you ever liked nineties hardcore, or the seemingly endless amount of bands that jock that style without paying homage or respect to the forerunners, you need this album in your life.
Morning Again does it right. Heavy breakdowns, thrash laden hooks and layered dissonant guitars that make us old guys want to flip over our office desks and “open this pit up” right on James from Accounting’s face.
Skip coffee and get this instead. This is the soundtrack to you taking your life back. Fuck... this is good.
Also... one of the MOST underrated bands from the nineties. Glad these guys are back!!! C. Andon Guenther
Northeast straight-edge hardcore taken to the cathartic, infectious extreme; a fiery EP fueled by spite, spirit, and sick riffs. Bandcamp New & Notable May 24, 2023
